Hamster-Making-Squeeking-Noise            Do you want to have hamsters for pets? Well, then you have to know a lot about them and consult a vet regarding their diet and care, so that you are able to look after them well. These are rodents with stout bodies and with tails that have shorter lengths than the bodies. The animals have short stocky legs, small furry ears and wide feet. You will love to stroke their silky fur. However, they are difficult to have as pets as they are small in size and make very fast movements. More..

When you are buying a hamster, you must know that it has a life span of not more than 4 years. The main aim should be to give the hamster a beautiful life, full of love and care and help it enjoy the golden days before passing away peacefully. A hamster generally dies of illness, injury or old age.

If you find that your hamster has a wet tail, it may imply that the animal is suffering from a wet anus or diarrhea. This can prove to be fatal for it. Other symptoms include the hamster's eyes becoming watery and crusty, feels boney to the touch, and when the hamster stops eating and drinking. You should take note when the hamster is not making much of movements, feels very cold and keeps trembling uncontrollably. Some dying hamsters also get very thin and the legs become very weak.

If you think that your hamster has slowed down and is not engaging itself in a lot of activities, you should leave it as it is; and never try to force exercising. If you try to prolong its life doing things that it does not like, you will cause it pain. Make sure that you are feeding the animal on time, giving proper food and clean water. Make it feel comfortable with your presence and speak to the pet hamster in soothing words.

If the vet has not been able to help and you know the hamster is dying, make sure you are keeping the hamster comfortable with soft and clean bedding. Never try to take an ailing or dying hamster out of its cage as it hates it and does not have the energy to fight you. Even when your beloved hamster dies, try to be happy and satisfied thinking that you gave your pet a wonderful life.
